Diamond Sawing
About wire sawing
DEMSO can provide a wire sawing service to cut the most demanding materials and structures. Often used to assist the removal of large ground beams or piles, the process can cut almost anything from reinforced concrete or brick up to solid steel, at almost unlimited size.
The wire sawing process is most often water cooled, but in some cases it can be carried out dry.
A multi-stranded steel wire with diamond segments is passed at high speed over the material and around a main drive wheel, while constant pressure is applied to pull the wire quickly through the material, leaving a neat, flat cut line.
Wire sawing is an extremely fast method of cutting large, hard structures and materials.
Because the process is water cooled it is dust free. It also has a relatively low noise output and is completely vibration free, so it does not impact on the surrounding environment, and it eliminates the dangers of HAVS.
